I started these when I was submitting the pattern for the Footwork 2.0 sock competition. I didn’t win but I wanted to give other people a chance to try the pattern.
I finally finished these socks, they have been hibernating for about 3 months.
Modds I made the socks toe up so I could use all the yarn. About 5” into the leg part I made a calf increase. about 8sts into the first row of a round i worked a kfb then worked about 16sts and again a kfb. On the second row of the round i worked the new stitch for the toe increase in between the two stitches made by the kfb. In so doing I increased by 4sts in that round. I repeated this process one more time about 1” higher. This way my substantial calves have room. I also used an elastic yarn (hot pink) for the ribbing and cast off to help the Knee Highs stay up.
