Notes

This is my first colourwork sweater, wish me luck!

I am hoping to make it long sleeved, but will not have enough Colour A (gray - 472 yards) to keep the patterning going all the way down if I do so. I have plenty of Colour B (natural tweed) though so will see how I go after I seperate for the sleeves and will look at fading out the pattern perhaps. I don’t have anything else in my stash that I can add and really want to just knit this from stash yarn.

Started June 2nd (due to time difference between US and Australia).

Body: Knit final chart repeat to Row 31 inclusive. Knit 1 row plain. Change to 3.75mm (US 5) needle for ribbing. Tubular bind off - https://youtu.be/Ec3-qKwIP0E

Sleeve 1 - Picked up 18 (instead of 12) for 6 repeats of pattern. I found the sleeve too tight with only 12 stitches. (repeat 1 - rows 19- 44 and 1-24 = 41g of the grey colour left), move to sleeve 2.

Sleeve 2: Repeat 1: rows 19-44 and 1-24 = 26g of the grey colour left
Repeat 2: rows 25-44 and 1-2 = 15g left, 66 stitches.

Cuff: white yarn - 3.5mm needles - row 1: k1, k2 tog, k to marker, repeat 2 more times, k to 3 stitches before next marker, ssk, k1, repeat 2 more times. 6 stitches decreased (60 stitches total).

Ribbing, approx 4 inches (36 rows in total including set up round) - k1, p1 - using purl through back loop technique - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=32R6S5x14HA

Tubular bind off.
