Joining, started at the yellow arrow and joined the blue line, then did the green either side of the square, then the next blue, then green. After finishing all the blues and greens, I did the red joins. This seemed the way to get the least ends
I join with a dc in the back, as long as you have your stitch markers in corners, its not too difficult, just time consuming

Border

I used 3 hook sizes for the border to prevent it getting wavy, see colour placement photo.

Round 1 (Persian Tiles) - Dove Grey
Round 2 - dc each stitch, 3 dc corner - Dove Grey
Round 3 - htr each stitch, 3 in corner - Lipstick
Round 4 - (Persian Tiles round 2) - Lemon

Nuts About Squares foundation Round 1 - dc in each stitch and chain space. 3dc, chain 2, 3dc corner. - Lemon
( Use this round to ensure the stitch count for Nuts About Square is correct, it should be a repeat of 4 plus 1)
Round 2 - Spearmint
Round 3 - Clementine
Round 4 - Lavender
Round 5 - Pistachio
Round 6 - Dove Grey
Round 7 - Clematis
Round 8 - Aster
Round 9 - Apricot
Round 10 - Proper Purple
