NEWT proposal

I think I may have to knit size 10 for my tall 7yo. I’ll measure her soon.

She wants this yarn, not the natural DK I’d picked. It’s thicker and I’ll use 5mm, so I’ll stick to a size 6-7.

June 17. 184y. Just at row 3 of the skirt.
June 22. 284y (new ball) at row 13 of the 4x1 ribbing.
June 30. 426y. Working on hem cables.
July 2. 501y. Cast off hem and picked up hood.
July 5. 695y. Nearly finished the ribbing.
July 6. 715y. Just need buttons and a block.

I think the edging needed more stitches than “2 every 3 rows”. Pulls in a bit, especially with ribbing. I had 238 around.

Blocking fixed the ribbing: this yarn does “relax” after blocking. Seems fine, now.

Did something wrong on the front beside the sleeves. It doesn’t line up. But it’s not something that will bother Jasmine, so I’m finished! :)

Didn’t find this pattern easy to follow.
