Notes

I enjoyed Beth’s class hosted by our local guild (Northcoast Knitting Guild). The resulting sweater just happens to be “about” the right size for Teddy.

I wish I had taken a picture in progress. It looked like a hopeless mess and as the finishing progressed I saw the little sweater “become” a true aran sweater.

This is my first sweater with full construction details. I’ve made baby/child sweaters, but none with neck bands or button bands, etc.

The little sweater includes saddle shoulders and is made in seven pieces, plus the neckband and then button bands, so 10 separate sections. I think there were 24 tails to weave when I was done. Should have thought to leave a couple seaming tails.

What a great way to try out an aran sweater!

Thanks Beth Brown Reinsel for sharing this wonderful knitting tradition in a mini sweater!
