Cast on. I have 3 weeks until my next semester starts plus I’m taking 2 weeks off of work. Goal: knit this sweater. Knitting size M after taking my measurements and account for ease. My gauge swatch is almost exact when using a size 9.

Tried on after knitting 7inches below the arm. This is too short. Will knit another 5 inches before ribbing. The rest of the fit seems perfect. I will definitely not want to be heavy handed when blocking.

Decided to stop at 11 inches after measuring a couple of my other sweaters.

The arm cast on ended up with 89 instead of 83 stitches. I decreased 2 stitches every 5 rows for the first 5 inches. I have 77 stitches above the elbow. At 9 inches, 60 stitches. 58 stitches at 12 inches then ribbing

Done! Time to block. Pre-block length 22in, width 20 inch; arm length 22 in and width 22. Debated about steam or wet blocking. I’m going to steam block based on the knitted measurements and fit prior to blocking. I don’t want too much ease.
