12/9/2019 I’m really pleased with this! It took a fair amount of math (I wanted to knit it in the round and use the initial five colors evenly), but it was worth it!

11/22/2019 After getting a couple rows into the linen stitch along the long edge and still doubting the color choice, I decided to look at what other oranges the Rowan Felted Tweed was available--turns out I really wanted the Ginger, not the Zinnia, so a skein is on its way.

After several stitch experiments, decided to bind off the knitting in orange--1 row stockinette, 2 rows reverse stockinette, and then 6 rows of linen stitch before casting off. I’m planning on picking up the stitches along the opposite edge and repeating this pattern, but with at least 18 rows of linen stitch before casting off.
