After so many years in lovely (but oh so slightly damp and frequently dreich) Britain, this feels like a summer drenched in sunshine. Selling our house and renting a flat means that we’re also suddenly up in the tree tops - the view off the balcony and out the windows is filtered through a canopy of green. Everything feels buoyant - often dizzyingly so.

This yarn fits this summer perfectly, the colour of young ferns and bubbling up on the needles like prosecco. It is stupendously lovely and I wish I’d stashed far more. The knitting has mainly taken place on picnic breaks of long bike rides, over brunch and sitting with a beer on the balcony.

I have no idea why I waited for a dark rainy day to take the final picture.

Changes to pattern: very few. garter edge to prevent rollling. slim edging of armholes to provide a little more robustness.
