Notes

Yarn was Christmas gift from Mike. Cast on for social knitting as other project getting a bit technical. swopped out chart D for one from Scandinavian Motifs (Mary Jane Mucklestone).

A quick knit, with easy to follow pattern.

NOTE on yarn requirements: the yarn amounts specified for the 2nd size did not align with the amounts I needed (and I was knitting to gauge). My swop of Chart D would not have affected this as I purposely avoided increasing use of affected yarn.

I’m pretty lazy about measuring exact yarn usage, but have done so for this one just in case it is useful for anyone else knitting this size. I’d strongly recommend getting an extra skein of Yarn A, holding off getting a second skein of Yarn E and that you might be able to squeak by (as I did) with just one skein of Yarn B.

MODS - only minor apart from the chart D swop. Mirrored the colour gradient in the corrugated ribbing rather than repeating. changed the final (top) Rows to carry on rather than repeat previous pattern prior to three needle bind-off.

FINISHING - Cut steeks, then reinforced with crochet (great tutorial on this approach can be found in Ann Kingstone’s Stranded Knits), prior to securing in place with blanket stitch.
