Knitting at 32 st per 4” using spindrift, will add an afterthought pocket and have changed a couple of motifs.

Put this aside for a few months as I’ve had a dodgy arm. It’s now almost done - just the pocket, buttons and blocking to go.

Not yet blocked, but otherwise complete. Finished picture is true to colour.

Modifications:

Like Jammam, I reduced the width of the neckline. I took the reductions down to every third row about a third of the way in.

I swopped three of the motifs - all replacements are from Mary Jane Mucklestone’s, “150 Scandinavian Motifs: The Knitter’s Directory”

I added a pocket on one side. Standard afterthought pocket - i put 40 stitches on scrap yarn when I was knitting, then went back and picked up the stitches to make the pocket. At the right depth, rounded the corners slightly by reducing by 16 in the same as for a sock toe then grafted across. very pleased to have put in a pocket. I might eventually put a snap closure on the inside - I’ll see if it sags first.
