Very carefully constructed pattern, with detailed notes. It didn’t take very long to make, just a few fiddly bits.

I omitted the black eyebrows to make it look more like a snowy owl, like we get over winter here in Ottawa. As I used it to deliver holiday post, swopped the felt envelope for a little tweed one that can be opened and shut. Hand felted yellow wool for the eyes. As I was running short of time used a red button for the envelope seal. It’s stuffed with scraps of white t-shirt material.

I’m sure I’ll make this pattern again, hopefully not as a rush job next time.
