This is a surprise - I love how this is came out! I really only did it to use up some scraps and to trial the pattern for the one I have planned for our bed. It was addictive too - it ate more and more wool and I kept wanting to feed it. It ate a bag, a sock (that was suffering from SSS) and I was greedily looking for more (I felt like I was in some Grimm’s fairly tale). Truth is, it has eaten lots of fresh balls of wool too…..

I really wish I was a little more anally retentive with my scraps - knot-a-rama!

Here’s the vintage pattern. I did double crochet in 8ply though…much quicker!
