First part of pattern has arrived. Project started.

First strip done. Row gauge long… I certainly won’t have to add any length..

I am working the front first, following the suggested arrangement of the diagonals, but I plan to make the back differently .
I have several leftovers of this yarn which I plan to use in the embellishment; pockets, edgings and duplicate stitching.

Yoke done, shoulders joined.
I used German short rows rather than wrap-and-turn, I like the look better…

Finished!
This didn’t take as long as I expected. Neck, sleeve and lower edge I-cord knitted on, yoke sewn on.

I chose to modify the back design to incorporate the shapes I “found” on the front.
I added a row of chain stitch in a contrasting colour along each shoulder seam

Final zoom meeting last night. Lovely to see everyone and to hear, and give, comments on our garments.
This was s really interesting project, I hope Rowan can do another one…
