Recently decluttered the yarn stash and found this ball of unlabelled chunky variegated yarn I’d been holding onto for about 10 years. High time I made something out of it, and figured it was enough to make a simple cowl to fit Daisy. Tried 15mm needles but the fabric was too stiff, so had to buy a set of 20mm. Tried garter stitch but didn’t like the way it looked, so went over to stockinette and just knit a simple 11 stitch rectangle until I ran out of yarn, then joined into a loop.
My only wish is that I’d taken time to look up a provisional cast on and tried that, so I could properly graft the stitches together rather than having the bulky sewn seam. Still, it’s a design feature, I suppose.
Really quick knit, and Daisy seems happy with her handmade Christmas pressie, so all is good :)
