For my good friend Edgar. I’ve been promising him something for 3 years now. Oh well. He does live in Houston. It only gets cold like 7 days a year.
While working on this in a mini KAL with some friends, it was brought to my attention that there’s an error in the chart as printed in the magazine. If you worked it as is, you probably didn’t even realize that there was a problem. It’s not really a noticeable error - it just makes working it a little bit of a pain since it’s not as easy to memorize and the little circles on the side panels become more squat.
Basically, the chart has you working the cables on Row 6 of the side panel. You should actually be working the cables on ROW 7.
12.11.09 Yay I finally finished! I didn’t take this on vacation with me. Thick scarf and Hot, humid Indonesia do not mix. I finished it while catching up on Heroes on Netflix and watching a couple other movies on Netflix instant. Now, I just need to block, photograph and mail off.
10.20.09 - OK, I’ve made some progress, despite some snafus - crossing cables wrong or dropping a stitch or 2 when crossing (am doing cables w/o a cable needle). Usually the mistakes happen when I’m chatting with a someone. I may be done before his birthday afterall. But then again, I have many other projects to tackle.
10.12.09 - I’ve worked about 6 inches now. I modified this one to omit the seed stitches because Edgar lives in Houston, which is kinda warm and he won’t need a scarf that wide.
