Swatch made, washed blocked. Perfect!
Bought one pound cone of yarn. Used 13.3 oz which my calculator says is 1164 yds. Yarn is a pleasure to knit with and softens significantly after washing.
Having the same issues as everyone else with chart/ lack of chart. Thought I could do my own graph, but not able to, so switching constantly from chart to written instructions. Getting used to it though.
Found out my row 40 problem was a row 17 problem so I ripped back!
At one point, I misunderstood the pattern between pages 3 and 4 and knit the “back” stitches without the border. Instead of ripping out 8 inches, I tried knitting on the missing border at the neck. It worked!
By the time I got to the last section, I felt like a pro and breezed through the finish line!
Such a thoroughly captivating knit. Lots of concentration, not a single minute of boredom! I’m sure I’ll make another one.
The yarn is perfect for this. It has plenty of “tooth” so will not sag and hang lifelessly like superwash or soft blends. And I love seams for structure, which these shoulder seams definitely give the sweater. Love it!

I am actually a size large, but made size medium after reading other notes. I also made the back slightly bigger, 8 1/2 instead of 8.
