Ordered two heather cones to make two more of this gorgeous pattern for my friends. This yarn is rough and rustic like my first Clair de Lune. Rustic, as opposed to the last two I knit, so soft , refined, made with Sunday knits yarn. It’s amazing how this pattern adapts so well to either yarn, soft and elegant, or rough and tumble. Love it!
This yarn has a lot of blue heather in it that doesn’t show in photo.
Had trouble with too big yarn overs on other vests and just sewed them up as part of weaving in yarn tails. But this one I am trying Suzanne Bryan’s method:

My dog-eared pattern has a new helper: I use a magnet board to mark my place, but found myself constantly hesitating on the edge sections on the right and wrong sides, so I taped arrows (made with label maker) to the magnet. Voila! Why didn’t think of that before??
95 g left over. Yarn softened quite a bit with soak in Euclan. Vinegar rinse as color ran in bowl.
