Notes

Can’t wait to start another one. Chose colors from quilt.

Finished first 2 squares and am going to make detailed notes now that I have actually knit 39 squares! Feeling like I finally know what I’m doing. (I knit 36 for first Heirloom cardigan, plus 1 failure.)

Used 6 g main color, 5 g contrast color for one square.
This yarn is perfect for this project!

I’m getting much better at not getting a twisted yarn mess at the end of every row. And I’m getting better at making the back side look good. Have not managed to learn how to purl intarsia. I purl intarsia like I’m a 6 year old!

Thinking I’ll make sleeves with the navy blue, alternating stripes with leftover yarns.. make front and neck band navy.

Needles: #7 squares, 6 for sleeves, 4 for ribbing and cuffs.
Sleeves: knit to 8 inches, then decrease every 6 rows 4 times, then k5 k2tog all the way around cuff.leaving 50 stitches. Then switch to #4 needle and navy yarn. Knit one plain round the. K1p1 for 15 rows. Italian bind off. (See chilly dog video) https://youtu.be/0jPMLIE7ac8?si=9aFM34S7Qy50LP6r

I like the striped sleeves so much, I may undo the sleeves on my first sweater and do them in the stripes.
