I have the Chiaogoo Forté needle set. The case is ugly gray plastic. So I decided to do a beauty makeover on it.
Last year I bought a piece of finished needlepoint at an estate sale. I love bunnies. I think I paid $1, maybe $2, thinking I could make something for one of the little girls in the family with it. Never got around to it. But every time I touch my needle case, I think i can do something to make it prettier. I had some nice blue wool fabric leftover from another project. Googled “ cross stitch and felt” and found instruction for making a Christmas ornament that could be adapted to my wool and embroidery piece.

I sewed the cover as explained in the link, blanket stitch is only on the wool. then I painted Elmer’s glue over the original plastic case exterior and the back of the wool piece, glued it all carefully, clipped the edges with paper clips, weighted the whole thing down with a big book till it dried.

And VOILA! By the end of the day I had a case I’m happy with!

I think it will be durable. Two years ago I recovered a iPad case and some old eye glass cases with pretty fabric using Elmer’s glue and clips and they have held up very well.
