Oh, oh! I like a challenge, but this one might beat me!
Spent three days trying to get past row 3. Finally just did it. Don’t know how. Maybe a pattern error, maybe brain fog in my part.
I’m going to make this a cardigan with steek rows center front. I asked Carol Sunday and she responded that it should work.
I have five colors in addition to main color, so figure on making a color change every four inches, measured down the front. Mulberry looks very brown, but it looks good with the contrast colors. Photo is accurate ( the red yarn is waste yarn used for provisional cast on).
Not happy with my fade. If I make this again I’ll just use two colors because I like the red and blue parts, not the rest.
Oct. 28: crochet steek edge with lace wt yarn. Tried Icord edge, didn’t like it. Tried same edge as hem. No. Finally tried a folded picot edge and like it! Sewing the edge off the needle to the back of the picked up stitches on wrong side to enclose the steek. Same technique as the hem.
Nov 4: right sleeve finished. Ended with 1x1 plain rib at the cuff for 12 rows.
Turned out much too small for me, but Ali wants it!
