Used pattern to get basic shape. Cast on 60 with provisional cast on. Do ten garter ridges (20 rows) end on wrong side. Then knit one row in white, then on wrong side knit 1, purl star stitch ( purl yo p Same stitch)all the way across, knit last stitch and do increase and decrease as per pattern. Daisy wrap pattern has better description of this stitch.
Change color, do another 10 ridges, then star stitch. When you have about 23 inches or so, end on wrong side with last white star stitch repeat. Now do three needle bind off with right sides together.

Still using up left over yarn.
