Notes

In Australia we have trees called gum trees, that have leaves that hang down to the ground- this pattern reminds me so much of these leaves hence the name.
So I had to take photos of it draped over a gum tree branch.
Some of these inside photos appear more blue than the actual yarn.- check my stash photo for more accurate color. The photo with our dog Snoop is the most accurate colour for the yarns I used.
I just love this pattern :)
It is not easy, but worth the challenge.
I made 13 gum leaves (feathers).
Natural wool was used for base, the Mille Colori was use for the gum leaves.
I wrote up a pattern sheet in my terms, summarising the pattern, so that I could understand quickly, instead of flicking through the pages of the pattern lol.

I didn’t cast off sts at the top edge, the sts stayed on the needle then I cast off using an I-cord bind/cast off using the background yarn.

This won’t be my last one of these…..

Note: I noticed I used about the same metreage of each yarns! lol
