This is my get better rug while I have to have my leg up
but definitely at home knitting as it is getting too big for taking anywhere!
Am cutting out the green in the pink/grey/ green colour 15 as it doesn’t blend…
35 squares 7x5 worked in rows of 7 squares, going down then going up etc
Start 59sts work 1 row
slip 1st st, K27 K3tog K28..
continue till have 1 st
Knit up 29sts down side of a square so now have 30sts on needle, cast on 29sts…
make mitred square form these sts.
continue adding squares for the rug.
Some garter st ridges are worked using a Fibonacci number sequence 5, 3, 2, 1, 1,
to the centre. Look at close up of 3rd photo.
Each sqaure weighs about 20g in the Sentiments yarn.
The central square is worked with 117sts ((29x4)+1)on 4 needles; picking up sts from 2 other adjacent squares and casting on sts. Working in graduation of all the colours present in the blanket except the darkest puple which I am going to run out of. Central square worked from outside in decreasing in the 4 corners every 2nd round until a few sts remain and is finished in the middle by slipping a strand through all the sts.
The dark purple color 25 and the purple/pink color 21 will have other miscellaneous mohair mixed in so stretches them out.
Worked 5 rows of dc (english terms) or sc (American terms) around with 3dc (sc) in the corners.
