Working this in a March KAL.

4th March 2013
I had a failed attempt at this pattern when our boisterious 16 month old border collie tried to jump on my knee while I was in the middle of a row- I lost all the stitches, luckily I was only up to row 14….I yelled at our dog and he slunk off to his mat.
I undid it all to the tab start a redid it.

5th March 2013I am up to about row 25. I picked up my knitting this morning and the dog saw me and he cowered (yay, he has learnt)\

or using crochet hook for nupp and I like this method- I use a 3mm hook.
I have finally finished clue 1 (at 12.30am) after starting several times and carefully tinking it back to row 20 lol (I didn’t have a lifeline…note to self: put in life lines!)

I am pleased with the result…now for clue2 which is worked quite differently- I think I may add beads here.

7th March 2013
finished clue 2.
Once I got my head around what was happening it was fun.
I tried nupps (fail), matching beads (fail) and then finally contrasting clear/silver beads with my burgundy yarn which worked well. I also added beads to the centre of the flowers with eyelets.

11th March I am up to row 21 of clue 3- these are most of the photos atm. It is going slow, as it is very hot and my hands are too sweaty to work on this during the day then the light is not good at night…

14th March
Finished up to row 51 tonight but couldn’t knit any more…this clue seems to take forever

6th April re working on this when I can but I need really good light to see the yarn. Clue 4 I am doing version 1 with nupps.

10th April Working on clue 4- row 74, need patience for the nupps…

nearly 18months later- 28th Sept 2014
I decided to pick this up again after it being at a standstill. I was working row 74 only to discover that a moth had eaten a hole around rows 45-50 UGHHH!

I carefully ripped it back to row 39 and since then have worked about 10 rows.

12th Sept 2015 I am working on this again I was up to row 75…clue 4 version 2 with lots of beads.

18th Sept 2015 version 2 clue 5- beads and nupps for the centre

23rd Sept 2015 up to row 97

27th Sept 2015 finished clue 5 now onto the last clue.

28th Sept struggling with how this clue works…as I have one more stitch in the repeat ugh!! After doing lots of research on ravelry I discover that the pattern has thick lines on clue 6 so the pattern is repeated between the thick lines; I have to move the markers one stitch to the left. 29th Sept I finished row 110!
30th Sept up to row 115 and now finished!!!
