I researched multi-stitch stripey rugs via Google and came up with quite a few, all useful references. Started this rug with this Julie Harrison pattern and the Harmony Guide Basic Crochet Stitches - Edited by Erika Knight for further inspiration. Then found the South-western-rainbow-throw pattern on Red Heart and incorporated ideas from it into mine. Found a wonderful stitch pattern called Apache Tears https://sarahlondon.wordpress.com/2013/06/20/crochet-apac... which really jzooshed it up. Found a treasured stash of natural vegetable variegated dyed raw wool which added another “flavor” to the mix.

About one third way thru now and I’ve boxed this fun project away for the summer wet season - will continue in late February March when the cooler sunnier Autumnal weather returns
