Notes

Started with the Fuschia Fury main color. Shifted to the Royal Bee (plum color) on round 30. Switched to Sugilite on row 55. After chart separated for sleeves. My gauge was off, so my yoke is deeper than schematic. When I split, I accounted for my small frame (back and arms) and large bust by putting 3 pattern repeats on hold for each sleeve, 4 for the back, and 5 for the front. I knit 8” from the underarm and then began reversed chart. I was 12 sts short due to the added underarm sts (32) to divide evenly into the charts. I added 12 stitches evenly to make it work. This time I used ladderback jacquard for the first 7 rows (wish I had thought to do that earlier. I also did ladderback beginning on row 17.

On my first attempt, when I finished the chart, I knit f/b every 3 stitches to increase to 308 stitches (28 stitches per chart repeat) to make a hem ruffle. 6 rows later, I decided to give the ruffle more flare by increasing every 4 stitches (except the last stitch to keep the number of stitches even) to 384 stitches.

The hem flipped up, so I frogged back and tried just a ribbed hem a couple rows after the chart (310 stitches).

Picked up extra sleeve stitches to knit together on subsequent rows to avoid underarm holes. Reduced to 80 stitches. At 5” (44 rows), I reduced to 78 stitches. Followed directions reducing every 14 rows. As I switched to ribbing on US2’s, I also reduced evenly to 58 stitches.
