Provisional cast on since I will be adding a hood. Used US 5’s. Used the stitch counts from Strange Brew minus 6 for button plackets because I’m making a cardigan. I had to change the increases so the totals were always the same as the pattern minus 6. This yarn was gifted to me by my best friend’s mom before she passed away, so it’s extra special and oh so soft! Decided the purl side looked fuzzier, so I used reverse stockinette.

For sleeves, knit 5 1/2 inches then decreased every 6 rows ssk/ k2tog. 3 sets of decreases took me to 8 1/2 inches. Switched to US 3’s and did 1 1/2 inches of ribbing.

For hood, unzipped provisional cast on and knit 1x1 ribbing. (If I had it to do again, I wouldn’t have done the ribbing.) Knit 9” from cast on. Then did Kitchener. It was hard to find instructions for yarn coming from front needle. Then I used this visual. Picked up stitches along the side, up the hood, and down the other side. 2 rows 1x1 ribbing then made buttonholes 3 stitches from bottom with 6 stitches between. Did a total of 6 rows and then bound off. Made ears from Little Lamb Hat (but made them reverse stockinette). This took 3 plus a tiny bit of a 4th skein of the Pluma. I used a tiny bit of leftover Bernat Velvet for the inside of the ears.
