I’m going to use some laceweight suri alpaca that I bought at Black Sheep several years ago. On top of that, it was bought from a teacher from our high school and his wife. He retired and helps her with their alpacas, while she spins and dyes.

I only have 450 yards of it, so I will just chain 34 and go until I run out of it. This is for a friend of mine who recently lost her husband.

6/4/14: It’s a good thing I was planning on giving this for their anniversary, because it is going to take me a long time to make. This is not mindless work for car rides. (note: In last two rows, decrease 1 V-st each row to make it match my error at the beginning)

6/5/14: Well, now that I’ve gotten past the foundation chain and first row, it’s going more quickly and easily. I will still have to pay some attention, but I may be able to do it while Rich drives us places.

9/7/14: Missed the anniversary, so I’m just trying to get it finished as soon as I can.
