Notes

The pattern uses repeats of 12 stitches and 8 rows. I cast on 298 stitches, to give 24 repeats across of the stitch pattern, plus 5 edging stitches each side. I’m alternating the Noro and the Manos del Uruguay, doing 3 pattern repeats (24 rows) with each color.

The pattern is a combination of knit and purl stitches with the order and number of knits and purls changing every row. It took a few repeats to memorize, but as this is going to be a long-term project, I’ve now got the pattern down pat.

I have knit several other small pieces for instant gratification while I’ve been working on this afghan.

Krista’s instructions are clear as always, with the pattern written out (no charts).
