LOVE this yarn!!!!! Heavier than pattern calls for, but got gauge on size 8 needle. Since am using bulky weight yarn, am making one size smaller than normally would so it is fitted.
IMPORTANT NOTE ON COLLAR: not sure if I misread the instructions. At first I thought I had picked up too many sts in front, but it was just right when I counted the number of pattern repeats. I followed collar instructions until I had 18 sts. beyond markers on collar, but if i continued doing just 2 sts. after each turn the back of my collar was going to be HUGE!!!!! (pattern says to make buttonholes after your ribbing is 3” from pick up row). I decided to knit 3 sts past the turn (instead of the 2 I was doing as per pattern) but it was still going to be too long as back of collar was already 6” at it’s widest (back of neck). At point when I had 41 sts. left to knit on each side I decided to just knit to end on each side and do the 3”, buttonholes and additional 3”.
Ribbing & cuffs in size 6. Pattern & collar in size 7 needles.
Cuffs for sleeves would be too big on me per pattern, so I c.o. 35 sts in size 6 needles. I switched to size 7 needles and increased sts evenly to the required number of stitches to work the sleeves.
Collar: I guess I picked up too many sts., so after I had 18 sts. Beyond markers on collar, I decided to knit 3sts past the turn (instead of the 2 I was doing as per pattern).
יום שישי is Hebrew for Friday (read from right to left it’s ‘Yom Shishi’).

Photo is of a lizard on an Amaryllis flower bud, it’s an heirloom bulb which originally belonged to my husband’s grandmother. In bloom in looks like this. “And who of you by being worried can add a single hour to his life? “And why are you worried about clothing? Observe how the lilies of the field grow; they do not toil nor do they spin, yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these.” Matthew 6:27-29
