Finally got over the fact that these are just too small. Frogging :(

Finishing these babies took me forever, but the pattern itself is excellent. I’m just a slow knitter and other projects got in the way ;) They’re a little tight going over the heel (my gauge was off), but once they’re on they’re really comfy! I love the heel on these too :)

3/7/11 I’d just finished the first repeat when I realised I hadn’t checked the gauge! I checked and I was getting 0.75 of an inch, instead of an inch! I’ve frogged it and have ordered bigger needles. I’ll check my gauge this time!

7/7/11 The needles came yesterday, the 2.25mm were perfect. I’ve finished the toe and will start on the lace today :)

12/7/11 I’ve hibernated this project while I work at finishing up some other WiPs :)

4/8/11 Yay, finally got back to these! :) I’m nearly half way through the second chart repeat, they’re looking so pretty!

16/8/11 Finished the second repeat today. Got about an inch to go before reaching the gusset :)

3/9/11 Picked these up again today. I’m going to try my best not to start anything else so I can finally finish them. My main reason for putting these off is that I got a blister on my fore finger from the needles which then split along my finger print. And then the needles are so small that I’d stab myself at least once every round right in the split. It’s fine with the bigger needles of my other projects though. It’s finally heeled over, so I’m hoping it doesn’t come back!

7/9/11 Now that I’m concentrating on these I’m finally getting somewhere! I turned the heel and finished the heel flap today! I’m now working on the leg :) It’s nice to see some progress on it. I really like the slip stitch heel, it looks really interesting and homemade in a nice way :)

8/9/11 Just uploaded a more up to date photo :) I’ve done about an inch of the leg. I also split my finger tip along my finger print again last night! :( So I’m having to be extra careful!

8/10/11 I’m casting of the second sock today :D Then to weave in ends and gets photos!

18/10/11 Finally got photos of these! Dom took them for me with his new camera, the colour is spot on (on my screen anyway!) He got the detail really well :)
