• Used 2 balls for Long Tailed cast on.
• Simple pattern.
• Slipped first stitch of every row to create selvedge
• Should have used 4.5mm needles but not totally displeased with the 5mm
• Used Icelandic Bind Off. (favourite)
• I have rated the Cascade 220 Superwash 4 star. This may change as I have read that it stretches madly. We will see on blocking what happens.
• First photo has best representation of colour.

obtained 35’ x 47’ (89cm x 119cm) without undue stretching however the lace pattern opened nicely.

As this was first time using Superwash ……
I soaked in tepid water using Eucalan for 15 minutes,
I then squeezed the water out gently, placed blanket in a large net bag to avoid stretching and spun it on lowest spin speed (500 in my front loader) for 5 minutes.
The fabric did not stretch enormously as previously feared handling it carefully.
I will maintain the 4 star rating I gave it with the “note to self” to continue to treat carefully.
