3-31-3015 - Finish and gift it for the holidays!
3-31-2014
I’ll get back to this in the fall… it got side tracked by too many projects.
12-15-13 - Setting this aside for a bit to finish up Christmas gifts.
12-7-2013 - It’s going much faster now that I’m knitting by the chart! I love this pattern. It’s beautiful!

I knit really loose apparently! I’m using a size 11 needle.
Measure 7” across, flattened not stretched unblocked. The width will increase after blocking.

Hi Janet!
The wyif k1 is actually easier than it sounds. It follows a p1 so your yarn is already in the front, keep it in front while you knit the next stitch, this results in a yarn over. Looking at the chart might make it a little clearer how the stitches and stitch pattern work together.
I hope this helps!

Couldn’t find my size 11 IC needles, didn’t make sense. Figured it was stuck in a project, but I didn’t realize they were stuck for so LONG!! This is off the needles now. It took me a little minute to figure out where I left off in the repeat and to remember how the stitches flowed. Finished today.
Notes: I would make this longer for me next time. Not sure how much length will be gained through blocking.
I should also use a larger needle. I don’t know why I chose 11, I could have gone with US 15 - I am a loose knitter, but loose might be better with this knit.
I would also ad a stich or two of garter on either side because this thing is rolly-polly!!

Knit with as large a needle as possible, it’s better when it’s nice and drapey (is that a word?) It might not roll as much as well if it were more loose. I missed the point when I started this 9 years ago! LOL
I’m ready to knit this again the correct way.
