How to Knit the Alternating Cable Cast-On for 2x2 Ribbing

Casting on 52 stitches using size 11 needle, trying a new cast on method. Makes the hat look “professional” slightly_smiling_face

Using dparks modifications for a 24.5” head

Clearly it did not take 16 months to knit this. Life happened to me! Covid-19 slowed me down long enough to get a couple projects finished. This was one of them.

I knit this with a size 11 needle but I had to use a large size 10 DPNs to close, which made the top a little pointy. I will block that out. I need some 11 DPNs.
