Just read a tip which suggest to add stitch makers every 16 stitches after the beginning of the set-up row to help maintain the correct stitch count. On occasion, I would forget a random YO on the increase row which I didn’t catch until 2 rows later during this knit. That caused some un-needed tinking!

I might go down to a US 3 to knit the ribbing for the next hat in Gloss because I would like the brim to be a tad bit tighter. Since this yarn is a heavier weight + the yarn has silk, grew a good bit after blocking. It will stay on my head when my kinky hair is loose, but it’s a loose fit when my hair is braided.

I love this Gloss yarn. It knits up more like a light worsted to me. The yarn is really big to be classified as DK weight. A smaller weight yarn would require more yardage.

4-20-2015! Finished! I had about 5-10 yards of yarn left over! I’ll weigh and enter exact amounts soon. I will be making at least two more of these hats… It was a great knit.

Starting the 4th section but my head is hurting really bad so I can’t focus right now.

CO 96 sts - used US 4 needle for ribbing. Easy lace pattern to memorize after I got the hang of it.
