7/18/15: Went yarn shopping in June, and the store owner showed me Early Rain Shawl she’d been working on. She completely sold me on the yarn and the pattern! I’m so excited to begin knitting it!!!

Also bought a “Verna-X” Beadle Needle to add the beads with. Here’s a video that demonstrates how to use the beadle needle.

8/10: Finished! It took every single bit of yarn, and I had to stop toward the end of the last chapter. Stopped after Row 74, went to 79 to add the beads, and then bound off. Hindsight: Stop at the next-to-last chapter.

What a wonderful pattern! I loved every part of it, including the beading, which was made so much easier by the Beadle Needle!!
