Knitting these in the round. When I got to the shoe section, I knitted the first round as stated….then flipped the leg inside out, reversed direction and knitted ( instead of having to purl )the rest of the shoe!! The yarn at the colour change was then used to close the tiny hole.Brilliant !!. Doing it all purl rounds as I tried first,was too loose.

Finally finished Week one!! Used Frankie Browns’ “Hearts in a hurry” pattern instead of duplicate stitch which I suck at !

Used eyelash yarn for the dress trim. Cast on with 4mm needles and knitted the trim flat, then joined in the round after the first row of pink yarn.

28-01-2018 week 2

Finished the head, arms and bracelet. leaving the antennae till after the hair.

30-01-2018-Dolly Jumble.

Knitted and stuffed the torso. Made the wings using 2 strands of an ancient 4ply sparkly yarn that was given to me. Used a plastic cord out of a old net laundry washing bag.( for delicate items)Stitched it in place around the edges on the inside. Reasonably happy with the result. No stuffing.

04-02-2018-Coming Together.

Sewn together. Created facial features, Used white sewing thread for eye character. Knitted scull cap. Knitted headband, added felt hearts on twisted pipe cleaners and sewn on head. Added 5 knitted ringlets to each side. Wings sewn onto the back through the dress opening. Very pleased with “Tammy.
