Notes

11.02.2016

I’m cycling to work and as it is still cold outside I was happy I could use and test this, my new hat!
Unfortunately I discovered that the dark blue bonnet part, didn’t stay snug to my face against the wind. Also my scarf was pushing it higher up, letting the wind inside.
So I made a long string, weaved it through the first row of the bonnet, along the back where it crosses and out to the front to come out at row 25 (where I also stopped increasing)

Like this I could actually draw the bonnet close if I wanted, but it didn’t work as well either.
Then I remembered the St. Brigitta’s cap, where the string is wound around the head. So I tied the two ends together. Then wrapped it around and boom, it made the hat closer to my ears.
I just have to try it out on Monday if it works or not…

Came up with my own increasing for the clusters…
It may not look the same as the original but at least it works

This pattern is just unintelligible!
Neither English nor German make it clear what to do and how to increase.
One is totally left alone to figure out where to put the increase clusters!
