Notes

Begun on the 13th on a waning moon. Finished on a waning gibbous moon.

I spun this merino/silk yarn last winter and dyed it with logwood and a rusty horseshoe giving deep iron greys, silver glinting on the silk and some deep lilac. Some months later I was using logwood again and decided to dye the yarn again. This brought out deeper burgundy and purple hues. Over time I think the red tones will fade leaving predominantly silver and charcoal - I can re-dye or submit to entropy…

It is a joy to knit with, soft, quite under-plied but strong thanks to the silk. It will develop a halo once finished and washed.

Modifications:
knit 25 rows after increases rather than 20. This was to accommodate my smaller row gauge…
finishing: garter stitch as per pattern then i-cord cast off
added a pom pom to the hood
