This is a very Shetland woolly, springy, garter stitch shawl that is very large (personal blanket size)

Fell in love with this pattern as soon as I saw it - immediately ordered coloured Jamieson & Smith Yarn (I already had beige in stash.) I chose greens, rusty browns and turquoise and shell pink shades.

17 June: After making the 1st half of the initial diamond I decided I didn’t think the pale blue colour 61FC looked right so I ripped back a few rows and swapped it out for natural grey/brown Yuglet (shade 2009). Having re-knitted those rows I think I like the colour scheme better now - the focus is on orange and green shades.

20 June Making good progress, on 2nd half of 1st diamond now. Found a small error at the bottom left of the 2nd page where it says to knit 3 pearl ridges where it should say 2. Easy enough to spot by looking at the picture of the shawl and checking the rhythm of colour changes.
