I finished this sweater a while ago.
When the pattern for Song and Dance was published, it was love at first sight.
I love the design and the colours so much.
The pattern is well written and easy to follow.
- I started with size 2
- for the yoke I increased in the second last increase round less stitches to get the numbers for size 1
- and skipped the last increase round of the yoke. I knit loosely so that the width after the second last increase-round was perfect for me.
I started the sweater with a provisional CO and knitted the neckband in the end with needlesize 5 mm.
Yarn
Using the original yarn for this sweater was my Christmas present to myself.
Jennifer from AppleOak FiberWorks was very nice and helpful, so I was able to order the original yarn in the original colors. Thanks for that, Jennifer
!!!
I enjoyed knitting this yarn so much. It is exactly my taste, rustic yet soft (60% Irish, 40% New Zealand).
Some skeins have dyed a bit on the hands while knitting, but I didn’t mind that. The colours are simply a dream.
I will definitely knit with this wool again.
For my sweater I only used one skein of each colour.
