Found this lonely sock in a project bag. Decided it had suffered long enough and set out to make it’s mate.

I don’t have any notes from the original sock, so I’ll do my best with the pattern and the prototype.

Haven’t knit a sock in ages! Cast on 2/24/15 with size 0 needles. Working up quickly so far, but I don’t want to jinx myself.

This might be the year!!!

Started the small size before realizing my hobbit feet will stretch the bejesus out of the pattern. Frogged and restarted large size on the bus ride back to Boston from NYC. I have since been compulsively knitting these to get them DONE!

Size 0 needles because I’m a loose knitter (don’t tell my mom).

Following pattern (mostly)- cuff down, slip stitch heel, picked up 17 stitches on each side of the heel flap, decreased to 33 stitches for the foot, one purl stitch on each side of the instep stitches.

LOVE this yarn, the splittiness factor is mostly eliminated with the nickel-plated KP needles.
