Kept knitting RS and WS as written until I reached 45g of main color (no idea what the stitch counts were- totally stopped counting and relied on my kitchen scale).
Used my frolicking feet gradient kit and did one eyelet row in each color. Knit 4 rows in between each eyelet row in MC, then knit one row in contrast color before doing eyelet repeats. Knit 3 rows of MC before picot bind off. Had 4g of MC left over.
Took a lot longer than if I had followed the pattern as written- but definitely worth the extra work and time- it is GORGEOUS!!!
