My first attempt at a hat!

I found the recommended 60 stitches made the hat much too large in diameter. I used 54 instead, and omitted the first decrease.

I had some panic at the thought of moving my work from the circular needles to double-pointed needles, but Nancy talked me down and pointed me to YouTube.

I’m pretty happy with this. I hope the hat is “long” (“deep”?) enough for my 3.5 year old niece. I’ve posted a photo of just the hat, and will ask my brother and sister-in-law to send a photo of Ana actually wearing the hat.
