I am highly opposed to gimicky yarn. No fun fur, very little metallics, no stuff with loopy stuff hanging off it, none of that. Imagine my surprise when I was cleaning my stash and found four balls of this yarn that includes a little of everything I staunchly refuse to knit with.

It’s pretty and to be fair, the fun fur sections are more like a shaggy chenille, so I decided it could live.

Then I taught my mom to knit and she wanted t try this drop stitch stole , knit in the round and then cut open. I’m doing this as a quick, easy knit along so I can demonstrate the finishing techniques for her, stash bust this yarn, and let it do something I really do think it’ll be good at. The dropped stitches will let the ribbon parts of the yarn shine.
