I love the end result! It’s such a warm, cozy thing, exactly what I imagined it to be.
I knitted this with Schafwolle Natur 4 ply held double (body with 6 mm needles, edges with 5 mm). It’s like the fur of a bear :).
The main pieces knit up rather quickly. Only picking up 246 stitches for the lower edge took forever. And picking up stitches with this yarn seems only possible in daylight. But it was worth it :).
Somewhere half way through I found out that the pattern actually describes double seed stitch, and I did single seed stitch (I didn’t read the description properly). But I I think I like it this way even more.
The pattern doesn’t specify the order in which to assemble the pieces. I first attached the three body pieces, then did the edges, and ended by attaching the hood. The buttonholes are simply yo, k2tog.
I’m sure we’ll get a lot of use out of this, this winter!
