GTCO 72 sts on US 1.5 (2.5mm). Immediately transfer to US 1 (2.25mm). Used 2.25mm for the body except for the heel turn which I did on 2mm needles.

The Dutch (Square) heel is probably not as pretty as the French heel but it fits my kind of chunky heel better imo. These socks are for my son and a Dutch heel fits him better.

Asymmetric Toe decreases:
1L = decreases on the left, k2tog
1R = decrease on the right, ssk

Row 1: 1L, 1R
Rows 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 - Knit
Row 3: 0L, 1R
Row 5: 0L, 1R
Row 7: 1L, 1R
Row 9: 0L, 1R
Row 11: 1L, 1R
Row 12: 0L, 1R
Row 13: 1L, 1R
Row 14: 0L, 1R
Row 15: 1L, 1R
Row 16: 0L, 1R
Rows 17 - 20: 1L, 1R
10 sts remain.

Reverse L and R for the other sock.

For next time: 76 sts may have fit better. 72 is a tad tight, but maybe it will ease with wear.
