Notes

It was fun to test the pattern. It is completely reversible; i.e., identical on both sides.

Long tail cast on and ribbing on US #6 needles; cables in US #8 needles. No flare at the cast on end. Bound off with US size 5 and normal tension. There was a bit of flare at the bind off edge. Blocking fixed the flare issue.

Got 41 inches from 23 repeats of the pattern. Each repeat took about 35 min under normal knitting conditions.

This is how I worked in the ends while doing the color changes in the border. I broke off the old yarn and wove in (knitting with yarn held double) the beginning part of the new yarn for every color change. That way I only had to sew in one strand of yarn for every color change. Kept the edges neat. The double yarn made the first 5 or 6 sts a bit bulky. But it does not show too much in the larger scheme of things.

The yarn is a delight to work with and shows the pattern off beautifully.
