Since I used a yarn that wasn’t suggested by the designer I had to adjust the pattern. I frogged several times to get the best look. I settled for a “P” hook, 11.5mm and one strand of the Bernat Blanket yarn. I usually do a foundation stitch because I think they look more uniform for cowls, scarves etc. So I did 100 foundation dc, to get the 34” length, and followed the rest of the pattern. I came out with the exact 6.5” width. The foundation stitch is great in this case because you can keep going until you get the length you need. Great pattern. I will be making a few more with different kinds of yarn. That’s the best of this pattern, you can easily substitute different weight yarn. I didn’t even use half of the big 10oz skein.
