Shredded paper core. Double bell construct in the middle made from foil roll. Measures 27-28 cm

So I decided to not use a styrofoam core in an attempt to not need as much yarn but that failed… I used 0.74 skein of supersoft, just like with the other C10 triwing ball and a 24.5cm styrofoam core but I’m still short - 30cm. So I’m saving that ball for another one and trying again with more core material. Think I’ll leave the bell out this time.

New attempt measured about 32cm in sock, yarn wrap 25g, 33cm
Power wrap, 130g total, 33 and a bit cm
It turns out this ball is impossible to work with, can hardly get pins in it. Experiment failed, no more paper filled cores for me.

Attempt two, unwound the first ball from yesterday as it had the same problem with pins not going in. Second attempt is in a sock with mostly yarn scraps, the bell construct rescued from the first ball with a wrap of chamois? (zeem) and a few fabric scraps from the undersheet leftovers. It measures about 29cm, 60g and feels fairly firm.
Yarn wrap to 32cm, about 75g
Recycled the power wrap from the other ball, 32cm, 90-95g?
Reused dusty green outside wrap too, about 105g, still 32cm. Magic number should be 5.7cm.
